Trail Blanch was born in January, 2005, a team of passionate persons founded  the crazy idea to organize a wintry trail in the mountains including portions of totally virgin snow.
This unique concept of race quickly had a great success. The 2009  edition gathered 1170 trailers from 17 different nationalities. Aravo Aventure, the organizing association of this event, created in 2007 the first extreme  wintry trail in the snow, by proposing the distance of 50 km. Trail Blanch has become the reference in Europe in wintry trail today.

For the 6th edition of Trail Blanch, Aravo Aventure decided to tranferer this event from Font Romeu to the massifs of the High Ariège. The trail  keeps the same spirit, hard, technical, wild and atypical: ways on frozen lakes, portions in the virgin snow, all that is the real identity of this unique event.
The wild aspect of this  Ariège massifs and the morphology of the grounds give to this trail  a new connotation even more impressive.
The Valleys of Ax, the city of Ax,its Thermal baths, and ski resorts of Ax 3 Domaines and the plateau of Beille welcome this new edition of Trail Blanch.
The trails of 13 and 23 km, will start from the resort Scandinavian of Beille and will follow on a magnificent plateau in the heart of the High Ariège.
The 50 km extreme trail will start from the resort of Ax 3 Domaines, will go up to the high valleys towards the Peak of Rulhe, will cross the lakes of Fontargente and Laparan in order to get  the plateau of Beille where its arrival is planned.
